Euchre: Quick Rules

Deck: 24 cards, A K Q J 10 9 in each suit. Four players in partnerships: you are South, partner is North.

Make trump in two rounds. Round 1: order up the up-card suit or pass. Round 2: name a different suit or pass. With Stick the Dealer on, the dealer must choose if everybody passes twice.

Trump rank: Right Bower (J of trump), Left Bower (J of the same-color suit), then A K Q 10 9 of trump. The Left Bower counts as trump for following suit.

Play five tricks. Follow suit if you can. Highest trump wins, otherwise highest of the led suit wins.

Scoring: Makers 3 to 4 tricks: 1 point. Makers sweep: 2 points. Defenders euchre the makers: 2 points. Alone sweep: 4 points.
